Workshops

BCB hosts local and international workshops and intensives led by core company members and global associate artists. These programs are designed to challenge technical growth, spark creative exploration, and expose dancers to diverse contemporary practices.

The Body Edit

The Body Edit is a signature movement practice developed by BCB Artistic Director Jana G. Younes, built on a singular premise: the body does not need more effort, but more clarity.

Rooted in anatomy and contemporary movement research, the practice invites dancers to dismantle habits and decode how they move. By refining alignment, awareness, coordination, and the body's relationship to space, breath, gravity, and the floor, it shifts the focus from purely physical output to deep somatic intelligence.

The Body Edit provides tangible tools for moving with greater efficiency, responsiveness, and ease. It is an exploration of less tension, more intention—cultivating a body that is both grounded and adaptable, where movement becomes lighter, clearer, and inherently connected.

Contemporary Dance Track [CDT]

Contemporary Dance Track (CDT) is a part-time training program built to bridge the gap between independent dance training and professional contemporary practice in Lebanon.

Designed as a direct pipeline into the professional field, CDT connects technical training to the realities of company life. Dancers develop across four core areas:

  • Artistic Process: Translating technique into creative execution.

  • Performance & Production: Navigating the realities of the stage and screen.

  • Collaboration: Working alongside filmmakers, musicians, and guest artists.

  • Long-Term Mentorship: Navigating the local and international dance landscape.

Scholarship Note: To ensure accessibility, scholarships are awarded to committed dancers demonstrating strong artistic potential.
